So easy to use!

I just built a new site with the drag and drop editor on the professional plan. It was seriously so much fun! The mobile responsive templates are excellent. I'll definitely be back for my next project.

Good value for small business

I was looking for an affordable way to get my small business online and found GoodWebsite. I went with the annual subscription for the professional plan after trying their free trial. The first year discount made it a really good deal. I connected my custom domain easily, and the e-commerce integration was surprisingly straightforward. It's a solid platform for the price, especially compared to some of the other options I looked at. Saved a good chunk of change compared to what I expected to pay.

Great features for the price

I signed up for the professional plan annual subscription last month and have been impressed. The analytics dashboard is quite useful, and the SSL certificate was included. Delivery was instant, obviously, since it's a SaaS. I had a quick question about custom fonts, and support got back to me within a few hours. The platform feels well-designed and not overly complicated, which was a concern for me as someone new to building websites. My site went live with no hiccups, too.

Consistent, reliable service

This is my third year with GoodWebsite, and they're still great. I've used their website hosting and blog platform for two different businesses now. The service has always been consistent, and my sites load quickly. I'm on the annual subscription for the business plan, and it just works, which is why I keep renewing.

Has anyone used both GoodWebsite and Wix? Wondering which one is easier for someone not super techy.

J James Marsh 3 months ago
GoodWebsite is definitely simpler than Wix. Wix has a lot more options which can get overwhelming. GW is more streamlined.

I started with Wix and switched to GoodWebsite. GW's drag and drop editor is way more intuitive, especially if you just need something functional and clean.

Do they let you connect your own custom domain, or do you have to buy one through them?

E Emma W. 2 months ago
You can absolutely connect your own domain. I did it last month, pretty straightforward process.

Yep, custom domain connection is a standard feature. I bought mine elsewhere and just linked it up.

Any deals if I sign up for a full year instead of paying monthly? Trying to get the best price.

J Josh Reyes 2 months ago
Absolutely. You usually save like 15-25% if you pay annually. It's a pretty standard discount they offer.

Yeah, always go annual if you can afford it upfront. It's a significant saving over the monthly price.

Is GoodWebsite actually good for like, a small online shop? Or should I just go with Shopify?

J Josh 3 months ago
GoodWebsite can do e-commerce, it's listed as an integration. For a really big store, maybe Shopify is better, but for small stuff, GW is probably fine.

I use it for my little Etsy-adjacent store. The integration works well enough, and it's way simpler to manage than a full Shopify setup. Depends on your scale I guess.

What payment methods do they accept? Just cards or can I use PayPal or something?

N Neil Ito 3 months ago
I've only ever used a credit card, but I imagine they take all the major ones. Haven't seen PayPal listed directly on their checkout.

Pretty sure it's just credit/debit cards. Mastercard, Visa, Amex, that sort of thing. I haven't seen PayPal as an option.
